Welcome to the International Shotokan Karate and Samurai Sam group. We are an established family group that have been teaching for over 40 years in and around the surrounding areas. Our instructors within the I.S.K. are fully qualified, CRB checked and hold First Aid certificates.
The ISK was formed in 1983 by Pauline and Lee Bindra. At the ISK we practice and promote the style of Shotokan Karate. The ISK is affiliated to the English Karate Federation (the governing body of karate) of which Pauline and Lee Bindra were founder members.
Each Club (Dojo) has a main Instructor (Sensei) know as the “Head Instructor” and two assistant Instructors. Instructors have to attend a regular Instructors course, which helps them to share and learn, and keep up with new guidelines and changes. All instructors are assessed and...
