At the ISK we practice and promote the style of Shotokan Karate, which is the most popular style worldwide.
The ISK has Dojos (Training Halls) such as at Sidcup and Dartford, which have been Karate Clubs for nearly 40 years! Plumstead and Welling Library Dojos have been in the same premises since 1983.
Men - Women - Children are all welcomed. We do not discriminate and all are valued equally!
We teach children from the age of 4 up (our Samurai Sam classes) and encourage them to have fun whilst training.

BANK HOLIDAY
Due to the bank holiday weekend. The Dartford and Sidcup club will be closed on Sunday. All clubs are closed on bank holiday Monday. Have a great bank holiday weekend.

EASTER CLOSURES
All classes held on Good Friday, Easter Sunday and Bank Holiday Monday will be closed for these days only.
The Eltham club will be closed on Tuesday 24th April.

Due to the adverse weather conditions, the club at Welling school will be closed for tonight only (Monday 21st January). Sorry for any inconvenience caused.
CHRISTMAS CLUB CLOSURES
Thursday 20th December is the last club training day before Christmas. All clubs will reopen as usual from Friday 4th of January 2013.

TONFA COURSE
The date for the tonfa course has been rescheduled to Sunday 14th October 2012. Please see your club instructor for leaflets (coming soon).

IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT THE GREENWICH CLUB
Due to the Olympics and renovation works to the hall the Greenwich club, the club will be closed from the 23rd of July and will reopen on the 3rd of September. This is for the Greenwich club only.
All other clubs will be open throughout the Games and the school holidays.
TONFA COURSE
To all members that have booked a place on the tonfa course this Sunday (8th July), or wish to enter on the day. Sensei Lee Bindra has badly damaged his knee (not doing karate) and will have to cancel the event. All monies paid will be refunded. A new date for the tonfa course will be set. Apologies for any inconvenience caused.
TONFA COURSE
The I.S.K. Tonfa karate course will be on Sunday 8th July 2012. Please see your instructor for an application form. The price of the course includes a pair of tonfa.
THIS COMING BANK HOLIDAY
Please note the Sidcup Sports Centre club and Dartford (Fairfield) will be closed on Sunday 3rd June due to it being a bank holiday.

Christmas Dinner and Dance - Saturday November 27th.

A SAD NOTE
It is with great regret we write to inform all our members of a very sad loss. Sensei Ian Bingham 1st Dan passed away on Thursday 17th of March 2011. He was one of the original members of the I.S.K. and highly respected by all. Our deepest sympathies and prayers go to all of his family, in this very sad period of their lives. He'll be greatly missed by his students, fellow members, instructors and all who knew him.

Due to many members requesting another training day, we have decided to open another club across the road from the Holy Trinity Church Hall in Sidcup.

(every Sunday morning thereafter).
